Terms of Service
Last updated: October 21, 2026
What these terms cover
CodeDock is an iPhone app for managing and handing out redemption codes, plus this website. Using either one means you accept these terms.
The app has no account system. The privacy policy explains how your codes and history are stored; these terms explain the conditions of use.
License to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CodeDock on your own devices.
The license covers the app itself. The codes, contacts, and product information you manage in it still belong to you or their owners.
You may not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of CodeDock
- copy, sell, or commercially distribute CodeDock itself
- use CodeDock for unlawful activity, or hand out codes in ways that break the rules of Apple or another platform
Codes and history
Codes and history live on that iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync, it goes through your private iCloud database under your Apple ID; CodeDock holds no copy. Backup and safekeeping are on you: the app can export a full backup, but nothing is auto-backed-up to a CodeDock server — no such server exists.
CodeDock is not responsible for data lost to device damage, system failure, or your own actions.
A code you mark as redeemed is your own record, not a confirmation from Apple. CodeDock does not read Apple’s redemption reports or verify the status of the codes you sent.
Who you send a code to, and on what terms, is your decision. Promises you make to recipients are yours to keep.
Connecting your own backend
Pro can connect a product to a server you operate (the codedock.source/1 contract). The iPhone contacts that server directly and syncs stock and redemption results read-only; CodeDock does not proxy the connection and never receives the token.
Whether your server is up, and whether the stock and redemption results it returns are correct, is your responsibility. What the app shows after a sync is what your backend returned.
Payments (Pro)
Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. Pricing, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple; CodeDock never touches the payment.
The free tier includes one product profile and ten contacts. Pro removes those caps and adds the share-card signature and backend connections. If Pro ends, the codes and history you already have can still be edited, sent, and backed up; new products and contacts follow the free limits again.
Updates
We ship updates to fix issues or adjust features. Some features may change or be removed over time, including the exact free-tier limits. Accepting App Store updates means accepting those changes.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, CodeDock is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for:
- data loss or corruption
- interruptions or failed syncs
- problems with your own backend, Apple, or another third-party service
- problems caused by improper operation
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from using or being unable to use CodeDock, including loss of profit, data, or business opportunity. Where mandatory law provides otherwise, that law prevails.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the product does, and a new version is published on this website. Continuing to use CodeDock after a new version is published means you accept it.
