What this policy covers

CodeDock is an iPhone app for managing and handing out redemption codes, plus this website. Products, batches, codes, contacts, send history, reminders, notes, and backups are stored on your device. CodeDock does not operate an account system for that data.

On your iPhone

Content you create in the app stays in a local database on that iPhone unless you choose to sync or share it. The developer cannot open that database, read your codes, or see who you sent them to.

You can mask code values in the list. The full values remain on the device so you can reveal a single code when you need it.

No CodeDock account

The app does not ask you to register, and it does not upload your codes or history to a server run by CodeDock. There is no CodeDock login to delete, because there is no CodeDock profile attached to that data.

iCloud

iCloud sync is off on each device until you turn it on in Settings. When it is on, your codes and history sync through your private iCloud database under your Apple ID. The container identifier is iCloud.com.codedock.app. Apple operates that sync. CodeDock does not receive a copy.

The switch takes effect the next time you fully quit and reopen the app. Turning it off opens the same local database without iCloud. It does not delete the codes or history on the device or the copy already in iCloud.

Language, appearance, share-card preferences, the code-masking preference, and notification permission are stored on the device. They do not sync with your codes and history.

If sync is on, deleting records or restoring a backup can propagate to your other devices through iCloud. The app says so before those actions.

A server you run

Pro can connect a product to a server you operate, using the codedock.source/1 contract. The iPhone contacts that server directly and reads stock and redemption results, read-only; it does not modify anything. CodeDock does not proxy the connection and does not receive the credential.

The credential is stored in the iPhone Keychain. It is excluded from backups and from iCloud.

Purchases

Pro is sold by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and shows the price. CodeDock does not receive your payment card number. Purchase status is checked with StoreKit on the device. It is not written into your codes or history, or into a backup.

Permissions

The app asks for a system permission only when a feature needs it.

  • Photo library add: used when you save a code card you created into Photos.
  • Notifications: used when you set a reminder for a batch. The app does not ask on first launch.
  • Photos picker: used when you choose a product icon. The system picker does not grant the app your whole library.

Sharing

When you copy a code or share a card, the destination is an app or a person you choose. What that app does next is covered by its own policy. A Home Screen widget reads a stock snapshot in an App Group on your device. It does not have a separate account.

This website

This site is a static product page. It does not have accounts. It does not set tracking cookies. If you dismiss the language suggestion, that choice is stored in local storage on your browser and is not sent to CodeDock. The host that serves the site may keep ordinary request logs, such as IP address and the page requested.

Children

CodeDock is not directed at children. The app does not collect personal information through an account, and it does not show advertising.

Deleting data

Delete records in the app, delete backup files you exported, or delete the app. If you turned iCloud sync on, removing the iCloud copy is done through your Apple ID. Uninstalling the app does not by itself remove data already stored in iCloud.

Changes

If a later version starts sending your codes or history to a server operated by CodeDock, this policy will change first, and the app will say so in the place where that choice happens.

Contact

A support email is not published on this page yet. Until it is, use the support contact on the App Store listing for CodeDock.
